Embrace the Art of Pausing: A Journey to Self-Discovery

Dear Readers,

Gift yourself a moment of pause – a concept that resonates deeply with the essence of mindfulness and self-care. Recently, I stumbled upon a thought-provoking post by Dr. Susan David, a psychologist I deeply admire, urging us to embrace the power of pause. As someone who has traversed various roles – from social worker to teacher to HR professional – and now serving clients globally as a Leadership Coach and Life Coach, I understand the significance of taking a moment to pause amidst life's chaos.

Reflecting on my recent trip to Norway to reconnect with my roots and spend time with loved ones, I was reminded of the importance of embracing stillness. Growing up with parents who instilled in me a love for nature and simplicity, Norway has always been my sanctuary – a place where I can truly be present and reconnect with myself.

In our fast-paced lives, it's all too easy to avoid confronting our inner thoughts and emotions by staying perpetually busy. However, this avoidance often leads to recurring patterns and unresolved issues. I've come to realize that true happiness stems from acknowledging and addressing these challenges head-on, no matter how daunting they may seem.

But what if coaching and self-reflection could be enjoyable rather than intimidating? Having experienced the isolating nature of senior HR roles firsthand, I founded Salt Floral and launched the Mindfulness Ikebana Workshop to provide a supportive space for individuals to reconnect with themselves while exploring their creativity.

Through the art of Ikebana – Japanese flower arranging – participants are encouraged to pause, reflect, and engage with powerful questions that deepen their self-awareness. It's a journey of self-discovery where authenticity is celebrated and vulnerability is embraced.

As we navigate life's complexities, it's crucial to have a safe haven where we can retreat, recenter, and rediscover our true selves. Whether it's a quiet corner of nature or a cherished memory, I encourage you to find your sanctuary – a place where you can reconnect with your essence and honor your emotions.

I extend a heartfelt invitation to join us at our next Mindfulness Ikebana Workshop, where we'll continue this journey of self-exploration and growth. Let's pause together, delve into the depths of our hearts, and emerge stronger, more grounded, and authentically ourselves.

Together, Let's Bloom.
