As we approach the end of 2023, I find myself reflecting on what I'll leave behind and what exciting promises I'll make to myself for 2024.
I've always been a dedicated journaler—it's my way of pondering different angles, answering my own questions as if chatting with a dear friend. Yet, in this self-dialogue, I've realized I can be tough on myself, forgetting to extend the same kindness I offer to others—a reminder that embracing self-compassion is essential and something I'll actively work on in the upcoming year.
In my recent blog, I shared my journey of letting go—releasing old friendships, memories, and relationships that no longer served me but lingered due to fear. This process cleared space for new connections, fresh memories, and exciting adventures I eagerly anticipate in 2024.
I'm bursting with excitement about the upcoming year! Looking back at how 2023 started, it marked a significant shift for me. I pivoted from providing HR advice to a more creative pursuit, sharing my authentic self with the world. Believing in myself and stepping into the unknown has been incredibly empowering. At Salt Floral, I firmly believe each of us has the potential to spark change—be it small gestures or significant actions—creating ripples of impact in our world. It's the cumulative effect of these small changes that shape a brighter tomorrow, a philosophy that guides my contributions.
So, my promise for 2024 is to break free from self-imposed limitations, nurture unshakeable faith in my abilities, and embrace every twist and turn of my season with grace and joy.
I'd like to extend heartfelt gratitude to my family, friends, mentors at Flower School, and the entrepreneurial community. As we bid adieu to 2023, expressing gratitude feels like the perfect way to close this chapter.
